WhAT TO EXPECT
If we haven’t worked together before, you may prefer to book an Initial Discovery Session, or some single sessions, to decide if my approach is right for you. In the first session, we will explore your area of focus and determine what you wish to achieve. Single sessions can be very powerful, however, the number of sessions you need will depend on the nature of your outcomes. Please note that the length of time required to achieve your goals will vary depending on your individual circumstances and your own willingness to let go of anything which does not serve you.

Duration of Sessions
Coaching sessions are one hour each.
Frequency and Number of Sessions
This will be agreed with you at your Discovery Session, according to your requirements.
Ad-hoc sessions can also be arranged when required.
As a guideline, I recommend the following time commitments for various situations:
• Weekly sessions for 1-3 months – if you’re seriously struggling with a major life/work/emotional situation
• Fortnightly (bi-monthly) sessions for 6-12 months– if you’re intending to make major life changes
• Fortnightly (bi-monthly) sessions – if you have a general feeling of being stuck and/or unfulfilled personally or professionally
• Monthly sessions – if you intend to make long-term changes or continue the work you have started during the more frequent series of sessions.
• A session every few months – if you are looking to touch base, connect and maintain momentum by continuing to challenge your self.
I offer coaching via Skype and on a face-to-face basis in Stroud, Gloucestershire. Face-to-face appointments are limited so please check availability prior to booking. Full location of face-to-face appointments will be confirmed by email after booking.
All appointments are completely confidential; however, I am required by law to pass on information to relevant authorities if you pose a risk to yourself or others.
Quality of service
I adhere to a strict code of conduct and have regular supervision sessions to ensure a strong standard of service.
When coaching is not suitable
Coaching requires you to have a high level of self-responsibility and therefore there are some circumstances in which it would not be appropriate for me to provide coaching services. I am unable to coach anyone experiencing psychosis or serious mental health issues. If you are unsure, please consult with your healthcare professional to determine whether coaching is appropriate for you at any time.
What happens after you book
You will receive an order confirmation email containing important links to your coaching documents. These include your Coaching Contract, Coaching Preparation Sheet and anything else specific to your booking. Please add contact @ fireflycoaching.co.uk and katie @ fireflycoaching.co.uk to your safe sender list to ensure your email doesn’t go into your Junk/Spam email folder.
What to do before your first session
Prior to your first session, I highly recommend that you put some quiet time aside to consider your aims and preferred outcomes of working with me. These include what you hope to gain and what is your reason for choosing coaching at this time. I will send you a Coaching Preparation Sheet with your booking information to help you do this.
