Duration of Sessions

Coaching sessions are one hour each. 

Frequency and Number of Sessions

I am happy to discuss this with you before your first session. As the client, you do not need to come with the answers, as the Essence™️ approach will help you identify what is right for you.
Ad-hoc sessions can also be arranged when required.

As a guideline, I recommend these time commitments for the following situations:
• Weekly sessions for 1-3 months – if you’re seriously struggling with a major life/work/emotional situation
• Fortnightly (bi-monthly) sessions for 6-12 months– if you’re intending to make major life changes
• Fortnightly (bi-monthly) sessions – if you have a general feeling of being stuck and/or unfulfilled personally or professionally
• Monthly sessions – if you intend to make long-term changes or continue the work you have started during the more frequent series of sessions.
• A session every few months – if you are looking to touch base, connect and maintain momentum by continuing to challenge your self.


Most appointments are delivered online through Zoom or Skype but I also provide a face-to-face service in Stroud, Gloucestershire for a small additional charge.


All appointments are completely confidential; however, I am required by law to follow safeguarding guidelines if you reveal something which indicates you are a risk to yourself or others.

Quality of service

I adhere to a strict code of conduct and have regular supervision sessions to ensure a strong standard of service.

When coaching is not suitable

Coaching requires you to have a high level of self-responsibility and therefore there are some circumstances in which it would not be appropriate for me to provide coaching services. I am unable to coach anyone experiencing psychosis or serious mental health issues. If you are unsure, please consult with your healthcare professional to determine whether coaching is appropriate for you at any time.

What happens after you book

You will receive a confirmation email containing important information including Pre-Coaching Questions for you to complete. Please add contact @ and katie @ to your safe sender list to ensure your email doesn’t go into your Junk/Spam email folder.

What to do before your first session

Set aside some quiet time to consider what you hope to gain from working with me. These include your aim for your first session and your reason for choosing coaching at this time. The Pre-Coaching Questions sent to you will help you do this. Don’t worry if you’re not clear before we meet- it’s my job to help you gain clarity. My priority is to ensure that you always get the most out of our time together.
